Description
Despite the weird whether of 2012, this vintage showed excellent ripening which developed a wonderful wine with special aromas. This vintage went out to market early than expected. in this vintage we produced 1100 bottles.
The Ramot Naftaly Winery is one of the first wineries in Israel to produce the Barbera, which has seen great success both in Israel and abroad. The vineyard is adjacent to the winery in a well-groomed plot. The Barbera grapes develop differently than those in the Piedmont region in Italy. The wine’s color is purple and its scents are flowery and particularly intense. This balanced wine features an especially fruity flavor and leaves a long flavor finish.
Production Process
Following harvest, the grapes underwent cold immersion, and after a gentle pressing, were fermented for 10 days in increasing temperatures of up to 28 degrees Celsius. This was followed by full Malolactic fermentation. The wine was then barrel-aged in new French Oak for a period of one year.
