The idea behind the special edition is to bring consumers a quality Cabernet Sauvignon wine, which has gone through a short barrel-aging process, at an attractive and especially low price. The varieties used to compose this wine are: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Despite its short aging period, the wine has long-aging potential and its flavor will only get better as time goes by. The wine did not go through a filtration process. The 2011 Special Edition is crimson in color and has light scents of berries. The wine is very balanced and leaves a long flavor finish.

Production Process

Following harvest, the grapes undergo cold immersion and gentle pressing prior to a 10-day fermentation process, which takes place at temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius. This is followed by full Malolactic fermentation. The wine is barrel-aged for 12 months in a combination of new Seguin Moreau French oak (50%) and American oak (50%).
